DAY 01: HANOI ARRIVAL
Upon arrival in Hanoi,you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to hotel in Ha Noi. Hanoi is one of Asia's most charming cities, with romantic boulevards and gorgeous colonial buildings. If time permits, we take a cyclo ride for a short excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. O/N in hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 02: HANOI CITYTOUR (B,L)
Hanoi - Vietnam's capital is a stylish and gracious city that retains a unique old world charm and some Asia’s most striking colonial architecture. The many lakes and parks make for relaxing atmosphere. Today we spend a full day exploring Hanoi.Combine Ho Chi Minh Complex (closed every Monday) containing the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature-the combination of the Confucius Temple worshiping Confucius which was built in 1070 and the first Royal National university in Vietnam during feudal dynasty and Museum of Ethnology ( closed on Monday) which offers informative and well-documented display on the country’s 54 ethnic groups, include elaborate and colorful hill-tribe costumes,. The display continues on to the garden outside with fascinating examples of minority housing from the Kinh to the ones of the ethnic groups in Central Highland. In the late afternoon, the water puppet show will bring us to an end of Hanoi city tour. O/N in hotel in Ha Noi.
DAY 03: HANOI – YEN BAI – NGHIA LO (L,D)
Heading out of the bustling streets of Hanoi give way to verdant rice paddies and farmland along Hwy 32. By early afternoon you'll be moving away from the Red River Delta and into the mountains of Yen Bai province, on your way to your destination of Nghia Lo. Nghia Lo is situated along a beautiful mountain ridge separating the Red and Black rivers. With lush forests, tea plantations, rice terraces and gumtrees, the picturesque valleys are stunning. The area is home to Thai, Nung,H'mong, La Ha and Ma ethnic minority peoples. O/N in hotel in Nghia Lo.
DAY 04: NGHIA LO – TULE (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we drive on the road follows the mountains of Hoang Lien Son and winds through the rice terrace. Stop for starting our hike, enjoy the beautiful scenery and stop shooting on the way before reach the village of the Thai and H'mong ethnic minorities. People here are dressed in traditional costumes and welcome us with open arms. The local here still retain their traditional life-style and customs and habits so that’s is a good chance for someone who aim to study about the culture. Night in the homestay of local family.

DAY 05: TU LE – MU CANG CHAI (B,L,D)
Continue drive along the mountainous road with spectacular scenery along the way. Stop at Nga Ba Kim for a short break after hours on car. Start trekking until we reach the village of Thai and H’mong ethnic minorities. Stunning landscapes of terraced rice fields, mountains, clouds and wooden stilt-houses, all like in a heaven of peace and simple happiness. Be warmly welcome by locals in their traditional costumes, see the H’mong women sitting by their loom and say hello to children past, you will truly get connected to the land and the people here. Night and dinner in homestay in Mu Cang Chai.

DAY 06: MU CANG CHAI –SAPA – TA VAN VILLAGE (B,L,D)
After 2 hours driving,the road begins to climb up Tram Ton Pass, the highest pass of Vietnam(2047m).Stop for photos hunting and enjoying the fresh atmosphere. From here,you can also see the Fanxipan Mountain - “the roof of Indochina” (3143m) soaked in clouds. Arrive in Sapa at noon, visit colorful ethnic market and Sapa old town with some vestige of French colonial era. After lunch, we take a light trek to visit Lao Chai and Ta Van village where the H’mong,Dao and Dzay ethnic people live peacefully together, By afternoon, drive back to Sapa Town. O/N in hotel in Sapa.

DAY 07: SAPA – HAGIANG (B,L)
After breakfast, we drive to Ha Giang.Along the way, you can see picturesque landscape of rolling hills, quiet villages and lush paddy fields dotted with palm trees. Stop enroute at Yen Binh to visit a village of Tay ethnic people and have lunch in the Tay family. Arrive in Ha Giang town in the late afternoon. Overnight in the hotel in Ha Giang.
DAY 08: HA GIANG – PHOBANG – SA PHIN VALLEY - DONG VAN (B,L,D)
Heading out of town,we drive to Dong Van plateau situated at 1025m above the sea level and inhabited by H’mong and Tay ethnic groups. Stop at the Heavenly gate of Quan Ba before arriving at Yen Minh- a beautiful valley nested in lush mountains. Walking through the Pho Bang town called by tourists “the town falling into oblivion”home to the Hoa and H’Mong ethnic people. The locals keep to their laid back lifestyle in the clay houses decorated with a pair of couplets written in Chinese scripts with wishes of good luck and prosperity. Continue to visit the Palace of H’Mong King Vuong Chi Sinh built in 1914 and now a symbol of the glorious past of the H’mong people. O/N in local guest house in Dong Van.
If we are in right day, we have a chance to visit Dong Van & Meo Vac Market - is held every Sunday. Early morning, ethnic people from near and far carrying vegetables, fruit, chicken cages, bird cages and even pigs, buffaloes or cows flock to the market for bartering. All seems very excited and enthusiastic because after days of strenuous work, they are gathering here to exchange their products and fun together. And one thing they never miss is “Thang Co”- a specialty of the northwest area made of beef organs. Ethnic men come here, squad to eat Thang Co, drink wine and chat until getting drunk. When the sun is falling down, they come back home on the horse’s back led by their wives.
DAY 09: DONG VAN - MEO VAC - BA BE LAKE (B,D)
After breakfast, we depart to Meo Vac village inhabited by the Lo Lo and Pu Peo ethnic minority people who still retain their cultural traditions and traditional costumes. We enter the border areas with Yunnan province of China sculpted by amazing karst landscape. A hike down to Meo Vac valley, a beautiful valley made of picturesque terraced rice fields, winding rivers and peaceful villages nestled at foot of the hills.
We will cross on Ma Pi Leng Pass - A place where heaven and earth meet. This is one of the best photo stop to enjoy the wonderful sightseeing of this vast limestone mountain range and perpendicular walls of rock, which brings one a feeling of adventure whilst being lost in the rocky highlands
In the afternoon, we continue driving through the rolling hills and the picturesque scenery to Ba Be National Park. The roads are bumpy and zigzagging however we will have a chance to meet the Hmong, Dao, Tay and Nung ethnic minorities who make for the main population of this region. we arrive in Ba Be by late afternoon. DAY 10: DISCOVER BA BE LAKE & NATIONAL PARK (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we embark a little boat to cruise the emerald Ba Be Lake and soak in its sublime serenity and beauty. The surrounding mountains are covered with lush vegetation, home to diverse flora and fauna. We continue our cruise towards the scenic Dau Dang waterfall and the mysterious Puong Grotto, inhabited by thousands of bats. Free time for visiting the villages of Tay ethnic minority people and discover their lifestyle. O/N in the local homestay in Pac Ngoi village
DAY 11: BA BE LAKE -HANOI (B,L)
Taking the time to enjoy the morning and surroundings we have breakfast leisurely. Check-out, and say goodbye to our host family, then drive to Hanoi. If we are lucky to be on Sunday, we'll take the opportunity to visit a local market en route. Arrive in Hanoi in the afternoon. O/N in the hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 12: HANOI - HALONG BAY (B,L,D)
Heading out of bustling Hanoi, we drive towards Halong Bay,truly one of Vietnam's most scenic impressive sights. On arrival in Halong Town we are welcomed on a traditional junk with a refreshing drink and get some boat information as well as kayak orientation. This is time for us to settle into a private comfortable cabin and unpack for a five days exploring Halong Bay. The traditional boat cruises past many limestone islands before it anchors at Soi Sim area, giving us a free hand kayaking and swimming. O/N on Junk/Boat.
DAY 13: HALONG BAY DISCOVERY & KAYAKING (B,L,D)
We have an option to get up early to admire the splendid landscape and see the fishermen on a morning catch. The huge breakfast is an impressive way to start our active day.We continue cruising towards Ba Ham area for the second kayaking. Today we paddle around this scenic zone at our pace to explore the mystical rock formations, hidden caves as well as many secluded lagoons. O/N on Junk/Boat.
DAY 14: HALONG BAY -HANOI (B,L)
After sunrise,continue visiting Halong bay. By at noon, the junk will deliver us to Halong wharf, then we drive back to Hanoi. We will drop on the way to visit a charming handicraft village and Buddhist temple in Bac Ninh Province. Arrive Hanoi in the late afternoon, free time for exploring city. O/N in hotel in Hanoi.
DAY 15: HANOI –DEPARTURE (B)
There is free time for you to relax or further explore Hanoi city. The trip ends after your transfer to Noi Bai airport for departure.
